The MARLISCO Exhibition Visits Yet Another City
On the weekend of the 21st-22nd June 2014, the MARLISCO Exhibition traveled to the coastal city of Paphos in Cyprus to participate in two events. On Saturday, 21st June, a very busy shopping street in the old city of Paphos temporarily became pedestrianised in order to host the exhibition. Passers by, tourists and shop owners had the chance to visit the exhibit and become educated about marine litter, whereas children also had the chance to play educational games.
On Sunday, 22nd June, the exhibition was hosted at the high-level event of the sinking of the boat Laboe for the creation of an artificial reef. The event took place by the coast, at the very popular Yeroskipou Plaz, and dozens of officials and tourists alike had the chance to visit the exhibition.
